Latest News from Seamus McCaffrey's
| About the Publican - Jan 01, 2008 Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Frank served in the Air Force, and was stationed at the gunnery range in Gila Bend, AZ after coming back from Korea. After leaving the military he was so impressed with Arizona, he decided to settle down in Phoenix. For 30 years, Frank worked as a cotton gin manager in Laveen, AZ. But when he wasn't working at the cotton gin, he tended bars to help make ends meet and support his family. When Seamus McCaffrey's--downtown Phoenix's first and only Irish pub‚ opened its doors in 1992, Frank helped make it happen. He then fulfilled a life-long dream when he and business partner and good friend, Andy Mirtich, purchased Seamus's Downtown. Frank and Andy embrace the potential for growth in downtown Phoenix and are proud to have started from the ground up and built Seamus's into the popular downtown landmark it is today. Their goal has been to pioneer a place that could rival some of the old pubs in places like Boston and New York, and visitors and regulars feel they've succeeded quite well. | |
